Experience

Not including my experience from research and projects, I have 40 months (and counting) of work experience in ML/AI, Computer Vision, Firmware, and Software Development & Engineering. I list my most relevant work experience on this page.

Firmware Engineer I @ Samsara

I started working at Samsara the week after graduating college. If we ignore full-time internships, clinic projects, part-time jobs, and jobs I had before I was 18, then Samsara is my first “real” job working full-time as a professional Engineer, and I don’t think I could have picked any better company to work for. Samsara is a relatively newer big tech company that specializes in IoT devices and supply chain and they’re growing fast. From my perspective, the best way I can describe them is a modern-day big disruptor like the 2010-era “Googles” or “Amazons”. They’re the 29th best place to work at in the whole world for my graduation year right between Google and Apple, and I can’t believe how lucky I am to have been given this opportunity. Samsara has been immune to the layoffs plaguing tech companies and is going strong. I can’t wait to start working there. It’s remote-first with an option to come into the office which I will definitely take advantage of (their offices look incredible). I can’t get over how incredibly lucky I am to be working here, and I’ll be sure to make the most of this opportunity given to me.

Computer Vision Engineer @ Apple

I’m happy to report that, by our NDA, I can finally discuss the company I worked for senior year of college! For my senior year clinic project, I worked at Apple as a computer vision engineer to increase the visibility of objects being imaged under a computer vision system in a factory setting very similar to the image on the right (photo is not of Apple products).

Computer Vision Engineer II @ Active Insights

As a Computer Vision Engineer II at Active Insights, I implemented live artificial intelligence into existing security camera systems to maximize the value of existing security infrastructure and prevent nefarious activity, such as human trafficking.

Engineer @ Audio Technica

I worked on a contract project with Audio Technica to fix USB-C overheating issues caused by debris in the charging port. Our solution consisted of a Hysteresis circuit optimized for performance on small IOT devices.

Lead ML Engineer @ Kaiser Aluminum Clinic

(This image does not include Kaiser Aluminum products and is not representative of anything related to Kaiser Aluminum. Image Source: here.)

On my first clinic, I worked with Kaiser Aluminum to develop live Machine Learning frameworks in conjunction with Computer Vision.

Machine Learning Intern @ Arete

In my second and third internships, I worked with Arete Associates on four projects that span Machine Learning, Reinforcement Learning, and Optimization Algorithms.

Programming Intern @ US Naval Research Laboratory

In my first internship, I worked with the US Naval Research Lab to protect the Earth from Coronal Mass Ejections by detecting CMEs with Machine Learning algorithms.
